Lady fakes her own kidnap, collects ransom money to relocate abroad

A hilarious story is making rounds on X (formally twitter) about a lady who reportedly faked her own kidnapping and somehow turned it into a one-way ticket abroad.

According to a post shared by @babypeekor, the lady told her family she had been kidnapped and demanded ransom.

Her relatives, panicked and desperate, gathered money to bail her out, only for her to use it to Japa and relocate overseas.

She later called them from abroad to admit it had all been a clever ploy, explaining that when she had initially asked for help “nicely,” they reportedly said there was no money.

In an unexpected turn, she thanked them for “turning up” for her fake kidnap story and enabling her to pursue her dreams.

Social media users have been left both shocked and amused. Some are praising her boldness and cleverness, while others are questioning the ethics of tricking her family, with people debating whether it was genius act or downright reckless.

Whether you see it as audacious or outrageous, the story is a reminder that sometimes truth is stranger, and one clever woman certainly knows how to turn a situation to her advantage.
