TheNaijaWide is an independent Nigerian digital news publication operated by NaijaWide Media. We publish timely, accessible and responsibly produced journalism for readers in Nigeria, across Africa and around the world.
Our work is guided by a simple purpose: to fight misinformation by helping readers understand what is happening, why it matters and what may happen next.

Our Story
NaijaWide was founded in 2014 as a broad digital platform covering music, news, sports, entertainment and other areas of public interest.
As the platform developed and the needs of its audience became clearer, NaijaWide Media decided to separate its main publishing interests into dedicated brands. In 2025, the news operation moved from NaijaWide.com to TheNaijaWide.com as part of that restructuring. The news publication later moved to its current home, TheNaijaWide.ng.
Today, NaijaWide Media operates two primary digital publishing brands:

A news publication focused on Nigerian, African and international news, including politics, public affairs, business, entertainment, sports, education, technology, health, lifestyle and breaking developments.
NaijaWide.net
A music publication focused on Afrobeats and African music, including new releases, albums and EPs, artist profiles, editorial features, reviews and music charts.
The separation allows each platform to serve its audience with clearer editorial focus while remaining under the same publishing organisation.
