Nollywood actress Regina Daniels’ brother, Sammy, has been remanded in prison custody until November 28 following a court appearance over a case allegedly connected to billionaire businessman and politician Ned Nwoko.
In a recent post, Sweezzy1, another of Regina’s brothers, shared a disturbing video showing Sammy’s deteriorating condition while in police custody. The clip quickly went viral, drawing public concern over his wellbeing and calls for justice.
Sammy Denied Bail as Family Cries Out
According to Sweezzy1, Sammy was denied bail during his court hearing, leaving the family distraught. He appealed to Nigerians and human rights groups to intervene, claiming his brother is being unfairly targeted and mistreated.
This comes after Sweezzy1 accused Ned Nwoko of orchestrating Sammy’s arrest — an allegation the politician has publicly denied, stating he has no involvement in the matter.
Rita Daniels Shares Photo from Detention
Adding to the family’s concern, Rita Daniels, mother of Regina and Sammy, posted a photo of her son in detention. The image — which showed Sammy sitting in a dirty room with visible bruises on his arms and body — has since sparked outrage across social media.
Fans React with Shock and Sympathy
Supporters and celebrities have flooded social media with messages of solidarity for the Daniels family. Many questioned the alleged abuse of power and influence in the case, demanding a fair investigation and due process.
The situation continues to generate widespread discussion online as Nigerians await further court updates on November 28.
