President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Arrives at Eyo Festival in Lagos

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived at Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos, to witness the ongoing Eyo Festival, one of the state’s most iconic cultural celebrations.

The Eyo Festival, which has drawn large crowds of residents, tourists, and cultural enthusiasts, is marked by colourful processions of white-clad Eyo masquerades, traditional chants, and symbolic dances rooted in Yoruba heritage.

The event, last held in 2017 before its current edition, is historically associated with major state occasions and royal commemorations in Lagos. It also serves as a major platform for promoting cultural tourism and preserving indigenous traditions.

Tinubu’s presence at the festival highlights the federal government’s recognition of Lagos’ cultural heritage and the importance of sustaining traditional festivals as part of Nigeria’s national identity.
