“These Allegations Don’t Add Up” — Pastor Chris Okafor Breaks Silence on Doris Ogala’s Explosive Claims

Founder of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry, Chris Okafor, has publicly addressed a wave of serious allegations levelled against him by Nollywood actress Doris Ogala, describing the claims as false, malicious, and riddled with contradictions.

Speaking to journalists in Lagos on Thursday, the cleric dismissed accusations linking him to the death of Ogala’s brother and allegations of a long-term romantic relationship that allegedly ended with a broken promise of marriage. According to Okafor, the accusations are part of a calculated attempt to destroy his personal reputation and weaken his ministry.

Pastor Questions Logic Behind Claims

Reacting to the allegations, Okafor questioned their internal consistency, arguing that they fail basic tests of logic.

“The same person accusing me of murder is also saying I wanted to abandon her to marry another woman,” he said. “How does that make sense?”

The pastor said it was illogical for someone to seek marriage from a man she allegedly believed was responsible for her brother’s death, insisting that such claims contradict human reasoning and emotional reality.

According to him, the allegations are filled with “glaring lies, unanswered questions, and facts that do not align.”

Fresh Accusations Involving Ex-Wife and Daughter

The controversy widened after Okafor alleged that his ex-wife later entered the public space with additional accusations against him. According to the cleric, she accused him of attempting to defile one of their daughters—an allegation he categorically denied.

Okafor further claimed that despite these accusations, the same ex-wife and daughter allegedly approached a popular blogger with financial demands running into tens of millions of naira.

He said they reportedly requested about ₦80 million to cover overseas school fees and living expenses.

“Which woman would do that to a man she claims tried to harm her child?” Okafor asked, again questioning the credibility of the allegations.

“A Coordinated Attack,” Pastor Claims

Maintaining his innocence, Okafor described all allegations against him as part of a coordinated campaign aimed at damaging his image and undermining the Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry.

He insisted that none of the claims are backed by verifiable evidence and said he remains confident that the truth will eventually emerge.

“This is not about truth; it is about destruction,” he said, adding that his conscience is clear.

Background: Allegations Spark Online Debate

The accusations against Pastor Okafor have generated intense debate across social media and entertainment circles, blending issues of faith, celebrity culture, and public accountability. Doris Ogala’s claims drew widespread attention due to her profile in Nollywood and the gravity of the accusations involved.

So far, no law enforcement agency has publicly confirmed an investigation into the claims, and no court proceedings have been announced.

Why This Matters

The case highlights the growing intersection between celebrity influence, religious leadership, and social media-driven narratives in Nigeria. Allegations aired in the public domain—especially those involving criminal conduct—can have lasting consequences even before investigations are concluded.

It also raises broader questions about due process, reputational damage, and the responsibility of public figures to substantiate serious claims.

What Happens Next

Pastor Okafor urged the public to remain patient and avoid drawing conclusions, stressing that truth will prevail with time. As of now, Doris Ogala has not responded publicly to his latest comments.

Until official investigations or legal actions are announced, the matter remains a public dispute defined by competing narratives—one that continues to draw attention across Nigeria’s religious and entertainment landscapes.
