Smart BM Breaks Silence on King Mitchy’s Alleged Death, Says She Is Alive but Unwell

Fast-rising Nigerian TikToker and livestreamer Smart BM has spoken out following widespread reports that philanthropist and influencer King Mitchy had passed away.

Earlier reports circulating online claimed that King Mitchy’s management confirmed her death via a statement on her Instagram page, alleging that she died after consuming a poisonous substance amid her ongoing public feud with VeryDarkMan.

However, the situation took a different turn after the hospital where she was reportedly taken, Primecare Hospital, denied claims that she had died.

Smart BM Provides Update

Addressing the controversy during a livestream, Smart BM said he personally saw King Mitchy earlier in the day and confirmed that she is alive.

“King Mitchy is not dead. Nothing happened to her. I saw her this morning. She’s alive,” he said.

According to him, while she is alive, she is not in a good state emotionally or physically.

“She’s not in a good condition and she was crying. I feel like it’s all this online stuff that really got to her,” he added.

His statement has brought some relief to concerned fans, even as questions remain over her health and the conflicting information shared earlier by her management.

Background: The King Mitchy–VeryDarkMan Feud

King Mitchy’s controversy with VeryDarkMan began after she publicly criticized him for allegedly failing to utilize donations raised for his NGO for tangible projects.

She later shared videos of schools she claimed to have renovated within six days, presenting them as evidence of her philanthropic efforts.

VeryDarkMan responded by accusing her of being politically sponsored, alleging that she was being used as a tool by Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and questioned the authenticity of her charity work.

The online clash quickly escalated, drawing massive attention, backlash, and emotional strain on all sides.

Calls for Caution and Empathy

As conflicting reports continue to circulate, many Nigerians are urging caution in sharing unverified information and calling for empathy, especially given the mental and emotional toll the controversy appears to have taken.

As of the time of this report, no official medical bulletin has been released detailing King Mitchy’s condition.
