US Justice Department releases Epstein documents containing allegations against Trump

The United States Justice Department has released additional FBI documents containing allegations against former President Donald Trump, linked to late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The documents, released on Thursday, March 5, contain details from FBI interviews with a woman who alleged that Trump sexually assaulted her after she was introduced to him by Epstein.

According to the Justice Department, the documents were not previously released during earlier congressionally mandated disclosures because they were mistakenly marked as “duplicative.”

The latest disclosures have further intensified political tensions, with Democrats launching investigations into how the Trump administration handled the release of Epstein-related files.

The newly released records include accounts of several 2019 FBI interviews with the woman, who claimed she was assaulted by both Epstein and Trump when she was between 13 and 15 years old.

In one interview, she said Epstein took her to “either New York or New Jersey” where she was introduced to Trump. She also told investigators that she bit Trump when he attempted to force her to perform oral sex on him.

She further claimed that she and people close to her received threatening phone calls over the years, allegedly demanding that she remain silent. She believed the threats were connected to Epstein’s associates.

Trump has denied all allegations of wrongdoing related to Epstein. The Justice Department previously stated that some of the released documents “contain untrue and sensationalist claims against President Trump.”

Meanwhile, Democrats have accused the Trump administration of attempting to conceal details of the Epstein investigation that could be politically damaging. On Wednesday, a House committee voted to subpoena Attorney General Pam Bondi to testify about the Justice Department’s handling of the documents.
