An old video of veteran Nollywood actor and scholar, Dr. Kola Oyewo, speaking candidly about his health struggles has resurfaced online following the announcement of his death at the age of 80.

The emotional clip has reignited conversations about the actor’s resilience, with fans and colleagues reflecting on the difficult medical journey he endured in the years leading up to his passing.

In the resurfaced interview, recorded in 2024 with filmmaker and actor Kunle Afod, Oyewo opened up about the health challenges that dramatically changed his life.

According to the late actor, the ordeal began around July 2019 when he started experiencing difficulty while urinating.

Concerned about the unusual symptoms, he sought medical attention from a family doctor in Ilaramokin, Ondo State, who advised him to undergo further examinations to determine the cause of the condition.

What initially appeared to be a manageable health issue later developed into a more serious medical challenge.
