A 25 year old man, Salman Mirza, has died after allegedly using a powerful industrial adhesive to seal his penis during sexual intercourse in an attempt to prevent pregnancy.
The incident reportedly occurred in Ahmedabad, India, where Mirza and his partner had checked into the Amber Hotel.
According to reports, the pair, who were said to be drug users, had allegedly inhaled fumes from an epoxy based adhesive before deciding to use the substance as a substitute for a condom.
Collapsed a day later
Reports said the couple did not have protection and allegedly applied the strong adhesive to Mirza’s genitals before engaging in sexual activity.
Within 24 hours of checking into the hotel, Mirza was reportedly found unconscious in nearby shrubs by an acquaintance.
He was rushed to hospital but was later pronounced dead.
Medical personnel reportedly discovered an unidentified green substance in his abdomen during examinations.
Authorities later confirmed that Mirza died from multiple organ failure, although investigations into the exact cause of death are still ongoing.
Family alleges foul play
Following his death, Mirza’s family accused his former partner of applying the adhesive to his genitals and filed a murder complaint with the police.
Investigators have sent samples for forensic analysis while awaiting the results of an autopsy to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
According to police, CCTV footage confirmed that Mirza and his girlfriend entered the hotel on June 22, accompanied by another woman who arrived with them in an autorickshaw.
He was reportedly found unconscious the following day.
A police official said:
“We have received the first forensic report of Salman Mirza, who died on June 25 under mysterious circumstances. However, we have not yet been able to determine the exact cause of his death.”
Authorities said investigations remain ongoing.
Mirza was reportedly the sole provider for his elderly parents and two sisters.
