U.S. Congressman Reveals America’s Position On Nigeria’s 2027 General Elections
The United States has announced that it will closely monitor Nigeria’s 2027 general elections, with particular attention to how the electoral process is conducted.
The disclosure was made by U.S. Congressman Riley Moore during an interview with Noire TV, where he was asked about Nigeria’s next general election and whether the United States intended to provide political support.
Responding, Moore said the U.S. would be carefully observing both the conduct of the elections and the eventual outcome.
“We will be paying close attention to Nigeria’s 2027 election.
“We are certainly going to be watching these results and how these elections will unfold and how they are executed, and that is something that myself and my administration will pay very close attention to,” he said.
The congressman’s remarks come as political activities ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 elections continue to gather momentum, with political parties, aspirants and stakeholders already positioning themselves for the polls.
However, Moore did not specify what form the United States’ involvement or observation would take beyond monitoring the election process.
