Osun State Governor and Accord Party governorship candidate, Ademola Adeleke, has recorded his first polling unit victory in the ongoing Osun State governorship election.
According to results announced by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, the Accord Party won Polling Unit 026, Ward 5, Osogbo Local Government Area.
Accord secured 57 votes, while the All Progressives Congress, APC, recorded 43 votes.
The result gives Adeleke’s party a 14-vote lead over the APC at the polling unit.
Results from polling units across Osun State have started emerging as the counting process progresses.
The election has also been affected by reports of intimidation, vote buying and other alleged electoral incidents in some locations, although voting has continued in many parts of the state.
More polling unit results are expected to emerge as officials complete the counting and collation process.
