Sheggz Breaks Silence on Bella Split, Says ‘I Did Not Cheat’ and Reveals They Separated in January

Former Big Brother Naija housemate Sheggz has addressed the controversy surrounding his relationship with fellow reality TV star Bella, denying allegations that he cheated on her and revealing that they have been separated since January 2026.

Sheggz made the clarification in a lengthy statement after what he described as attempts to damage his reputation and character.

The reality TV star said he had previously chosen not to discuss his private life publicly out of respect for his family, but felt compelled to speak after the controversy surrounding his relationship with Bella.

Sheggz described himself as someone who values family, friendship, integrity and his faith, while also firmly denying allegations of abuse.

“I am a man who values family, friendship, integrity and my faith. I am a brother, a friend to many and most importantly, I know the values I stand for. I am not an abuser,” he said.

He also directly addressed allegations surrounding infidelity.

“For clarity, I did not cheat on Bella and I have been single since January 2026,” he stated.

According to Sheggz, 2025 was a difficult period for him as he spent considerable time in and out of hospital because of health challenges.

He said he eventually travelled to England for treatment and recovery before returning to Nigeria in October 2025.

Sheggz claimed that after his return, he became aware of information that made him question the honesty within his relationship.

He said he had given several opportunities since 2024 for certain issues to be clarified but eventually concluded that there were trust and respect problems he could not overlook, particularly while considering marriage.

“It was difficult for me to process, particularly because I had loved Bella deeply and genuinely hoped we would spend our lives together,” he said.

Sheggz revealed that the relationship officially ended in January 2026, although the pair later made attempts to reconcile.

He also disclosed that he had purchased an engagement ring because he genuinely believed they could build a future together.

“I genuinely wanted the relationship to work. I even went as far as purchasing a ring because I believed in the possibility of a future together,” he said.

The former BBNaija housemate said that despite the painful end of the relationship, he had no intention of engaging in a public exchange of accusations with Bella or her family.

He said he respected Bella’s family and wished her well as both parties move forward.

“I have no desire for hostility or public back-and-forth. I simply want to move forward peacefully with dignity and respect for everyone involved,” Sheggz said.
