Dollar to Naira Today, September 25, 2026: Naira Trades Around ₦1,326 at Official Market

The naira traded around ₦1,326 per US dollar on Friday, September 25, 2026, as the currency maintained relative stability across Nigeria’s official and parallel foreign exchange markets.

At the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM), the dollar opened at about ₦1,326.00 and moved within a narrow range of ₦1,325.82 to ₦1,327.00, before trading around ₦1,326.06.

The movement came after the official market closed around ₦1,328 per dollar in the previous session. CBN data reported on Thursday showed the naira at about ₦1,328.67/$1.

At the parallel market, dollar quotes remained higher, with buying rates reported around ₦1,370 and selling rates between ₦1,374 and ₦1,380, depending on the location and dealer.

At a selling rate of ₦1,374/$1, $100 would cost approximately ₦137,400, while $1,000 would require about ₦1.374 million.

Using the reported NFEM rate of ₦1,326.06, $100 is equivalent to about ₦132,606, while $1,000 is approximately ₦1.326 million.

The difference between the official rate and the parallel-market selling range was therefore about ₦48 to ₦54 per dollaron Friday.

Recent CBN data also showed continued activity in the official FX market. On Wednesday, NFEM turnover rose to $279.18 million, up 181.5 per cent from the previous reported session, while Nigeria’s external reserves stood at about $54.674 billion as of September 17.

The Central Bank of Nigeria also reduced its Monetary Policy Rate to 23 per cent at its September 21-22 Monetary Policy Committee meeting, while retaining the Cash Reserve Requirement for deposit money banks at 45 per cent.

However, actual dollar rates available to individuals and businesses can vary depending on the bank or Bureau de Change operator, location, transaction size and prevailing market conditions.

As of Friday, the latest reported figures put the dollar at approximately ₦1,326 at the official NFEM window and between ₦1,374 and ₦1,380 at the parallel market.
