Nigerian-British actor John Boyega and American actress Lashontae Heckard have fuelled speculation about their relationship after sharing a playful exchange on social media.
The 34-year-old Star Wars actor recently responded to a post by Heckard, 47, with a flirtatious remark that appeared to reference her cooking.
Boyega joked that her preparation of pounded yam and egusi soup on Saturdays was a deliberate strategy to keep him from making other plans.
He wrote: “So this is why you cook Pounded yam and egusi on Saturdays?? A tactical weapon of mass plan-cancelling. I’m onto you lover.”
Heckard appeared to respond in the same playful tone, addressing Boyega as “Baba” while suggesting that her schedule changes during the summer.
“Baba…..u feel the same way until summer rolls around….then i have no choice but to be outside on any given day,” she replied.
The exchange has attracted attention from social media users, with some interpreting the affectionate interaction as a sign that the pair may be romantically involved.
However, neither Boyega nor Heckard has publicly confirmed that they are married or formally announced an engagement.
Boyega, known internationally for his role as Finn in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, has also featured in films including Attack the Block, Pacific Rim and They Cloned Tyrone.
Heckard is an American actress and model who has appeared in several television and film productions.
For now, the nature of their relationship remains unconfirmed, with their recent social media interaction continuing to fuel speculation among fans.
