The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released the final list of candidates for the 2027 Lagos Stategovernorship election, with Deputy Governor Femi Hamzat listed for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour representing the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The list was published on Saturday as part of INEC’s preparations for the 2027 general elections, providing details of candidates cleared to contest the Lagos governorship seat under their respective political parties.
Hamzat, who currently serves as Lagos State deputy governor, appears on the list as the APC governorship candidate. Rhodes-Vivour, who contested the 2023 Lagos governorship election under the Labour Party, is listed as the ADC candidate for the next election.
The publication marks another step in preparations for the 2027 electoral contest, as political parties and their candidates position themselves ahead of the polls.
INEC has made the official document available on its website for members of the public to consult.
