Nedu Questions How Nigerians Can Survive on ₦100,000 Monthly Amid Rising Cost of Living

Media personality Nedu has criticised the Nigerian government over the country’s worsening economic situation, questioning whether Nigerians earning ₦100,000 or ₦200,000 monthly can afford a comfortable life.

Nedu raised the concern in a video shared online, highlighting the growing financial difficulties faced by Nigerians as the prices of goods and services continue to increase.

The media personality questioned whether a monthly salary of ₦100,000 or ₦200,000 could adequately cover basic needs, including transportation and other essential expenses.

He expressed concern about the rising cost of living, noting that many Nigerians are struggling to cope with increasing expenses despite their limited earnings.

Nedu also claimed that fewer than two per cent of Nigerians earn as much as ₦200,000 monthly, using the figure to highlight the financial challenges confronting workers across the country.

His comments have drawn attention to the wider debate about wages, purchasing power and the affordability of basic necessities in Nigeria amid persistent economic pressures.

The discussion comes as many Nigerians continue to grapple with the cost of transportation, food and other essential goods and services.
