Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has appealed to President Bola Tinubu and his son, Seyi Tinubu, for additional payment following his participation in an All Progressives Congress (APC) rally in Lagos.
The singer made the remarks in a video circulating on social media after attending the political gathering held on Tuesday at Onikan Stadium, Lagos, which attracted politicians, entertainers and supporters of the ruling party.
In the footage, Portable appeared visibly sweaty and complained about the physical strain he experienced while participating in the event. He called on the President and Seyi Tinubu to meet with him, suggesting that the money he had received was not enough.
“I want to see Tinubu and Seyi Tinubu; they have almost squeezed me to death. I have fainted. Did we not collect money? Tinubu, pay me more money,” the singer said.
Portable was among the entertainers and public figures present at the rally, where he was seen moving around the venue and interacting with supporters.
Reports accompanying the video claimed that the singer fainted due to exhaustion. However, the circumstances surrounding the reported incident have not been independently confirmed.
The singer’s remarks have drawn attention online because of his direct appeal to the President and his son over payment for his participation in the political event. It remains unclear how much he was paid to attend the rally or whether he received any additional money afterward.
