Popular TikTok streamer and content creator, Peller, has responded to critics who frequently mock his educational background, insisting that he still intends to return to school despite the criticism.
Speaking during a live session, Peller said he once gained admission into a university and paid more than ₦2 million in school fees but eventually abandoned the programme after the institution allegedly failed to honour an agreement they had with him.
According to him, education remains important to him, adding that he has no intention of giving up on earning a degree.
“My woman is a graduate, and my future child will also be a graduate. We are all going to be graduates. Time is not late for me to go back to school,” he said.
Peller explained that he enrolled in the university after officials allegedly assured him that he would be allowed to continue streaming his online content while attending lectures.
However, he claimed the institution later reversed its decision, making it impossible for him to balance his education with his career as a content creator.
“The university I wanted to attend whined me. They deceived me that I would be streaming my classes, but they didn’t allow me stream, so I stopped going.
“I paid over ₦2 million. Even students attending that school today have never paid that amount, but I did,” he alleged.
His comments have generated mixed reactions across social media.
While many users praised his determination to further his education despite his success as a content creator, others questioned his claims about the amount he allegedly paid to the institution.
Peller’s remarks come amid the ongoing debate surrounding education and content creation, following rapper YCee’s recent criticism of what he described as the rise of “Olodo culture” and the growing influence of “Peller culture” among young Nigerians.
