Sean “Diddy” Combs is now expected to leave prison earlier than previously scheduled after United States Federal Bureau of Prisons records showed another adjustment to his release date.
According to prison records reviewed on Wednesday, July 29, the 56-year-old music executive is now projected to regain his freedom on January 24, 2028, marking the third time his release date has been brought forward since he began serving his sentence.
Responding to questions about the latest change, a spokesperson representing Combs said there was not enough information available to explain the revised date.
“At this point, we do not have the necessary information to respond with any clarity,” the spokesperson said.
Combs is currently serving a 50-month prison sentence at FCI Fort Dix, a federal correctional institution located in New Jersey.
His original release date had been set for June 4, 2028, but it has been revised several times. Earlier this year, prison records showed the date had been moved to April 25, 2028 before another adjustment shifted it to February 23, 2028. The latest update now places his expected release on January 24, 2028.
The revised release date comes shortly after reports surfaced alleging that Combs was involved in a physical confrontation with another inmate inside the correctional facility.
Several media outlets reported that prison officials intervened to stop the alleged altercation. Following the incident, Combs was reportedly transferred to solitary confinement while prison authorities handled the situation.
Federal prison officials have not publicly provided further details regarding the reported incident or whether it played any role in the latest adjustment to Combs’ projected release date.
