Media personality Daddy Freeze has reacted to Peller’s claim that some of the dollars sprayed on him during his traditional wedding were counterfeit, alleging that the fake currency likely came from celebrities and Nollywood actors rather than wealthy businessmen.
Speaking during a live session, Daddy Freeze claimed that genuinely wealthy individuals would not risk spraying fake foreign currency at public events, suggesting that some entertainers were more concerned with maintaining appearances.
“Peller said he was sprayed fake dollars. It’s Nollywood actors and celebrities that’ll give Peller fake dollars, not billionaires like Cubana Chief Priest. That’s why I don’t roll with them. I cut them off because most of them are fake.”
The broadcaster further stated that he prefers to associate with people whose wealth is well established, citing music star Davido as an example.
He also defended businessman Mr Ochacho’s reported ₦400 million gift to Peller, describing it as a strategic investment rather than an act of generosity.
“I only dine with people on Davido’s level. Mr Ochacho gave Peller that ₦400 million gift because he knows Peller is worth it, and it’s an investment because he has already made that money back.”
Daddy Freeze’s comments come after Peller alleged that some of the US dollars sprayed during his traditional wedding ceremony were fake, a claim that has continued to generate widespread discussion across social media.
The media personality’s remarks have also sparked mixed reactions online, with some users agreeing with his assessment, while others criticised his broad characterisation of celebrities and actors.
Neither the celebrities mentioned nor those who attended the wedding have publicly responded to Daddy Freeze’s claims at the time of filing this report.
