Content creator Xxssive has publicly criticised former Psquare manager Jude Okoye, accusing him of playing a major role in the breakup of the iconic music duo and denying fans the opportunity to continue enjoying their music together.
In a video shared on his Instagram page, Xxssive expressed frustration over the long-running feud between brothers Peter Okoye and Paul Okoye, claiming the conflict has deprived fans of one of Nigeria’s greatest musical acts.
Addressing Jude directly, he said:
“This is a message to Jude Okoye. Respectfully, you dey craze. For you to deprive us of Psquare. You know wetin be Psquare? You’re nothing without Psquare. With or without you, Psquare remains Psquare.”
He also argued that neither Peter nor Paul would individually surpass the success they achieved together as Psquare.
“Peter and Paul will never sing any song individually that will be bigger than Psquare. The money una dey fight over till today na from the Psquare catalogue.”
Mentions Cynthia Morgan and May D
Xxssive went further by accusing Jude Okoye of negatively affecting the careers of other artistes he previously worked with, including Cynthia Morgan and May D.
“You are the killer of careers. Cynthia Morgan, May D, Psquare. Judas Iscariot, why always you?”
According to him, fans embraced Psquare because of the unique combination of Peter Okoye’s dance performances and Paul Okoye’s musical talent, not because of their former manager.
“We loved Psquare because of Peter’s break dance and Paul’s melodies. Nobody liked Psquare because of Jude. You were never in the picture. Show us one successful artiste you have managed.”
The video has since generated widespread reactions on social media, with users divided over Xxssive’s comments. While some agreed with his assessment of the Psquare split, others argued that the issues between the Okoye brothers are more complex than he suggested.
