Lagos Police Declare Two Men Wanted Over Alleged Murder of Woman in Ikoyi

The Lagos State Police Command has declared two men wanted over their alleged involvement in the murder of a woman in the Ikoyi area of Lagos State.

The command announced the development in separate wanted-person bulletins issued on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

The suspects were identified as 32-year-old Folawiyo Alagbado and 33-year-old Ajibola Obateru.

According to the police, the two men allegedly conspired with other individuals to attack the woman, kill her and remove her body and personal belongings from the scene.

The command said the woman’s body was subsequently taken to an unknown location.

Police authorities have urged members of the public with information about the whereabouts of either suspect to assist investigators by reporting to the appropriate authorities.

The police described Alagbado as a 32-year-old Yoruba man of average height, with an oval face, wide nose, long wide mouth, medium lips, white eyes, dark complexion and a round chin.

His last known address was listed as Ibadan, Oyo State.

Obateru was described by the police as a 33-year-old Yoruba man, approximately 5.9 feet tall, with a thin build, oval face, long nose, small mouth, thin lips, black eyes, fair complexion and pointed chin.

He was also described as having thick black hair and a high forehead, while his mannerisms were described as gentle. His last known address was also listed as Ibadan, Oyo State.

The police said anyone who knows the whereabouts of the suspects should report the information to the nearest police station or contact the Office of the Commissioner of Police, State Criminal Investigation Department, Musiliu Smith Street, Panti, Yaba, Lagos.

The declaration comes as investigators continue efforts to locate the suspects and establish the circumstances surrounding the alleged killing.

The allegations against the two men remain subject to investigation and due process.
