Osun Election: Adeleke Wins With 511,067 Votes as INEC Completes Collation

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has concluded the collation of results from all local government areas in the Osun State governorship election.

Accord Party candidate and incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke polled 511,067 votes to finish ahead of his major challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who secured 444,815 votes.

The African Democratic Congress, ADC, came third with 17,180 votes.

Adeleke therefore leads Oyebamiji by 66,252 votes based on the figures from the completed collation.

A total of 15 political parties participated in the election.

With the collation of results from all the local government areas now completed, attention has shifted to the formal declaration of the winner by INEC.

The final outcome remains subject to the official declaration by the commission’s Returning Officer.
