More than 100 people allegedly brought into Osun State to vote for the Accord Party in today’s governorship election have reportedly been arrested.
The suspected voters, who were said to be carrying newly issued Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs, were allegedly camped at the residence of Hon. Abiola Ibrahim, ahead of the election.
A video circulating on social media shows the alleged voters being questioned by security operatives.
In the video, Ibrahim reportedly admitted that the group was staying at his residence to vote for the Accord Party.
Ibrahim is reportedly a member of the Osun State House of Assembly, representing the Irewole-Isokan Constituency.
The circumstances surrounding the alleged movement and registration of the voters remain unclear.
