Peller’s Mum Faces Backlash Over Alleged Request for Son to Gift Her Partner Money, Daddy Freeze Reacts

Media personality Daddy Freeze has defended popular TikToker Peller and his mother following criticism over a viral moment from the content creator’s wedding reception in Lagos.

The controversy began after an X user alleged that Peller’s mother asked her son to give money to a man identified as Oji, whom the user described as her partner.

During the wedding reception, Peller was seen with a box containing bundles of dollar bills, which he distributed to members of his family.

He reportedly presented cash gifts to his parents-in-law before giving money to his mother and father.

According to the X user’s account, Peller’s mother subsequently whispered to her son while he was distributing the money, asking him to also give Oji some cash.

The user claimed she said, “Fun Oji na,” a Yoruba expression meaning “Give Oji too.”

Peller reportedly returned to the box and gave the man some money.

Reacting to the moment, the X user criticised Peller’s mother, arguing that parents should exercise restraint when it comes to their children’s finances.

“Peller’s mum did something at his wedding that I honestly didn’t like, and I pray for protection and more wisdom for that boy.”

The user further claimed that Oji was the mother’s husband-to-be and questioned why she needed to ask Peller to give him money.

The criticism subsequently attracted the attention of Daddy Freeze, who disagreed with the user’s interpretation of the incident.

According to the broadcaster, Peller did nothing wrong by extending the financial gesture to his mother’s partner.

“Peller did the right thing. Person wey dey date or wan marry ur mama na ur step papa.”

Daddy Freeze argued that Peller’s action could instead be viewed as a gesture of respect towards his mother.

“He honored his mother. Flip the tables. If it was the step dad that was rich and he gave Peller money, would you complain?”

His response has generated further debate on social media, with users expressing different opinions about whether Peller’s mother acted appropriately by allegedly requesting money for her partner.

Neither Peller nor his mother was reported to have publicly addressed the criticism in the information available.

Claims about Oji’s relationship with Peller’s mother were also based on the social media user’s account and had not been independently confirmed.
