Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, has reportedly been charged with five sexual offences in the United Kingdom, including attempted rape.
The charges were confirmed by Snaresbrook Crown Court in London, according to reports, with the court placing a reporting restriction on the case to protect the identity of the complainant.
In an official email to Punch, James Baker, Admin Team Leader at Snaresbrook Crown Court, confirmed that Poco Lee faces charges of attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration.
“The defendant has been charged with: Attempted rape, 2x Rape, 2x Assault by penetration.”
Baker also confirmed that a reporting restriction has been imposed on the case under Section 1 of the Sexual Offences (Amendment) Act 1992, which protects the anonymity of the complainant.
The case has been scheduled for plea and trial preparation on September 15, 2026, as the legal proceedings continue before the UK court.
The development follows earlier reports that Poco Lee was being held in the UK in connection with the case, with a further court hearing scheduled for September.
Poco Lee is known for his career as a professional dancer and his involvement in Nigeria’s entertainment industry, where he has worked with several prominent artistes and featured in numerous music and entertainment projects.
The entertainer has not publicly addressed the reported charges at the time of publication.
