Popular Nigerian TikToker Peller has expressed frustration over his family’s growing presence on social media, saying their decision to put aspects of their private lives online has exposed them to unwanted comments and speculation.
Speaking during a TikTok live session circulating online, the content creator addressed recent comments about his father following a viral video that reportedly showed him lying on a bed with another man.
Peller said some social media users subsequently began speculating about his father’s sexuality, a development he described as frustrating.
“I don’t blame you people, it’s my family that I blame for putting themselves online. My daddy is on the bed doing video, na so dem dey call my daddy gay.
“They talk say my daddy is a gay. Una dey call my daddy gay, so how did he give birth to me? Is it a man that gave birth to me?” he said.
Peller did not provide evidence concerning the speculation and his remarks appeared to be a response to comments circulating online rather than confirmation of any claim about his father.
The TikTok personality said the wider problem, from his perspective, was that several members of his family had developed an interest in creating social media content.
He suggested that their increased online exposure had made private family matters subjects of public discussion.
Peller also claimed the situation affected arrangements surrounding his recent white wedding.
According to him, he had wanted his family to invite only a limited number of people to the ceremony, but events did not go according to his plans.
He claimed his mother attended with her boyfriend while his father brought his girlfriend, contributing to what he described as an unexpected change in the atmosphere of the celebration.
“Me and my family are really angry with them. That was how I was doing my white wedding. I told them, invite few people. My mummy carry her own boyfriend come, my daddy carry his own girlfriend come. All of them now turned my party to something else,” he said.
Peller’s comments have since generated reactions across social media, with users offering different opinions about his family’s increasing public exposure.
While some treated his remarks humorously, others sympathised with his concerns about the consequences of sharing private family matters online.
