The National Examinations Council, NECO, has announced that the results of the 2026 Senior School Certificate Examination, SSCE Internal, will be released on Thursday, September 24, 2026.
The examination body said the results will be formally announced at 11am at its headquarters located along Kilometre 8, Bida Road, Minna, Niger State.
The announcement followed a meeting of the 2026 SSCE Internal Award Committee held at the council’s headquarters on Tuesday.
The meeting was chaired by the NECO Registrar and Chief Executive, Professor Dantani Wushishi, as the council completed the final preparations for the release of the examination results.
NECO also confirmed through its official social media platform that the committee meeting marked the final stage of preparations ahead of the results announcement.
The 2026 SSCE Internal examination was conducted for final-year secondary school students between June 15 and July 23, 2026.
Candidates who sat for the examination will be able to access their results after the official announcement through the channels provided by NECO.
NECO’s official results portal requires candidates to select their examination year and examination type, then enter their result-checking token and registration number to access their results.
The council’s official SSCE Internal portal confirms that the 2026 examination was the Senior School Certificate Examination for school candidates.
The release of the results will allow candidates, parents and schools to obtain the candidates’ performance records and proceed with subsequent academic and admission requirements.
NECO is expected to provide further details on the overall performance of candidates and other examination statistics during the official results announcement on Thursday.
