Nigerian music star Burna Boy is set to feature in Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) as a co-host of AfroBank FM, one of the in-game radio stations announced by Rockstar Games.
The Grammy-winning singer will host the station alongside German DJ and producer Palms Trax, bringing a selection of African music to the highly anticipated video game. Rockstar’s official GTA 6 music page lists AfroBank FM as a station featuring “Amapiano, African classics, 3-step, and more,” with Burna and Palmsy at the helm.
The announcement adds another international milestone to Burna Boy’s career and gives African music a prominent place in one of the world’s biggest video game franchises.
AfroBank FM is expected to showcase sounds from across the continent, spanning classic African records, amapiano, 3-step and other contemporary styles. The station’s programming will introduce players to a broad range of African sounds as they explore the game’s fictional state of Leonida.
Burna Boy has previously featured in the Grand Theft Auto franchise. His song “Killin Dem,” featuring Zlatan, appeared on GTA V’s iFruit Radio, while “Gettin’ Money” was included in the GTA Online Cayo Perico update.
The Nigerian singer joins an international roster of musicians and entertainers selected to host or contribute to GTA 6’s radio stations. The lineup includes Bad Bunny, Lana Del Rey, Morgan Wallen, Robyn, Trick Daddy and Trina, while Slayer members Kerry King and Tom Araya will host a heavy metal station.
The game’s radio stations will cover a range of musical genres, reflecting the diversity of its fictional setting and expanding the role of music in the franchise.
Developed by Rockstar Games, Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Burna Boy’s involvement places Nigerian music among the sounds players will encounter in the upcoming release, further extending the international reach of Afrobeats and other African genres.
