Nana Akua Addo Hospitalised With Injuries as Alleged Domestic Violence Report Sparks Concern

Ghanaian model, actress and fashion personality Nana Akua Addo has sparked concern after videos circulating online appeared to show her receiving treatment in a hospital with visible injuries.

In the footage, Nana is seen with a swollen lip, an injury beneath her eye and blood on her clothing while receiving medical treatment. Reports circulating online allege that the injuries followed an assault involving her husband, Harold Norman, although the circumstances surrounding the incident have not been independently established.

Other footage reportedly linked to the incident appears to show a man believed to be Norman making allegations of infidelity against Nana. Those claims have not been independently verified, and Nana has not publicly confirmed what happened or identified the cause of her injuries.

The reports have renewed attention on Nana’s marriage and a 2021 interview in which she spoke publicly about dealing with her husband’s infidelity.

At the time, Nana said the experience left her “broken” and “hurt”, but said the couple sought counselling and worked through the difficulties in their relationship. The old interview has resurfaced following the latest reports.

Nana married Norman in a private civil ceremony in March 2022. The couple have two daughters.

The latest development has also prompted public support from Mona Gucci, a Ghanaian media personality, lawyer and childhood friend of Nana.

In an emotional message shared on Instagram, Gucci said she and Nana had known each other since childhood and urged her friend not to carry the situation alone.

“We have known each other since childhood… and long before the world knew your name or celebrated your style… you were my friend.”

Gucci also told Nana that she had nothing to be ashamed of and deserved “love that is gentle, respectful, and safe.” She encouraged her friend to speak, cry or remain silent without feeling pressured to maintain appearances.

The reported incident comes shortly after Nana made headlines at Milan Fashion Week, where she appeared in a dramatic creation by Ghanaian designer Chinasa Martins. The look, which drew inspiration from Thom Browne’s fashion language, featured oversized sculptural sleeves, a plaid skirt and thigh-high boots.

Nana Akua Addo is one of Ghana’s prominent fashion and entertainment personalities, with a career spanning modelling, acting and film production. She is particularly known for her elaborate red-carpet appearances at events including the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).

As of Tuesday, October 6, 2026, there has been no public statement from Nana confirming the circumstances behind the injuries shown in the circulating videos. It is also not clear from the reports available whether a formal police complaint has been filed.

The allegations involving her husband therefore remain unverified, while public concern continues to grow over Nana’s wellbeing
