A 28-year-old Nigerian man, Adebayo Maoli, has been charged in Toronto, Canada, following allegations that he exposed himself to passengers on the city’s subway system on two separate occasions.
The Toronto Police Service disclosed the development in a statement cited by PUNCH Metro on Wednesday, saying the alleged incidents occurred at King and College subway stations on September 1 and October 3, 2026.
According to investigators, the first incident happened at about 3pm on September 1 aboard a southbound Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) train at King Station.
Police alleged that Maoli exposed himself to two passengers on the train. The passengers reportedly activated the emergency alarm, prompting him to leave the train.
In a separate incident at about 12:10am on October 3, the suspect allegedly followed a passenger who was getting off a train at College Station.
The police said the passenger entered an escalator area, where Maoli allegedly exposed himself. The victim reportedly confronted him verbally, causing him to flee.
Following the investigations, Maoli, who resides in Toronto, was charged with one count of sexual assault and two counts of committing an indecent act.
Police said he was scheduled to appear at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, located at 2201 Finch Avenue West, at 9:30am on Friday, October 9, 2026.
Investigators also expressed concern that there could be additional victims. They released an image of the suspect and urged anyone with relevant information to contact the police.
The allegations have not been established in court, and the charges remain subject to the judicial process.
