An X influencer identified as @AJSMILE911 has reportedly been picked up by unidentified men at his residence in Abuja, days after posting a viral claim involving music executive Don Jazzy and the mother of Afrobeats singer Ayra Starr.
The reported arrest surfaced on Friday, October 2, after another X user, @Funksmama, shared a screenshot of a message purportedly sent by the influencer’s brother.
According to the message, unidentified men reportedly arrived at the residence in the morning, took phones from people at the house and left with the influencer. People at the scene were also said to have attempted to record the incident.
The reported arrest comes days after the influencer shared a video of Don Jazzy and Ayra Starr’s mother on X.
On September 29, @AJSMILE911 captioned the footage:
“Don Jazzy and Ayra Starr’s mom happily celebrate as they prepare to welcome their unborn baby.”
The claim attracted widespread attention on social media.
However, the footage was not recent. Reports indicate that the video had originally been posted by Ayra Starr’s mother in November 2023 before being reposted by the influencer with the claim about an alleged pregnancy.
Don Jazzy subsequently responded to the post on September 30, appearing to reject the claim and calling on the influencer’s family to intervene.
“Let me first tag and beg your family members to talk sense to you now o,” Don Jazzy wrote.
The post remained online after Don Jazzy’s response, according to reports.
The development has nevertheless generated significant reactions on social media, with some users linking the reported incident to the controversial post and Don Jazzy’s response.
