US President Donald Trump attended a jungle-themed Halloween celebration at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida on Saturday night, choosing not to wear a traditional costume.
Trump appeared at the event in his familiar navy blue suit and red tie, telling reporters that he had decided to dress as himself.
“I came as Donald Trump,” the president said when asked about his costume.
He joked that while other guests had spent several hours preparing elaborate outfits, he had very little time to get ready.
“I didn’t have time to get … people spent a lot of time and money. Rich people. They spent nine hours getting ready. I had 10 minutes, so I came as Donald Trump,” he said.
Hundreds of guests gathered in the ballroom at the Florida resort for the Halloween party, which featured a jungle-themed setting.
The event brought together guests in elaborate costumes, while Trump maintained his usual presidential appearance for the celebration.
Videos from the party showed the president interacting with attendees and speaking to reporters about his decision to skip a conventional Halloween disguise.
