Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, Jimmy Odukoya, has publicly introduced his new wife, Pastor Mo Odukoya, to members of his congregation during a Sunday service in Lagos.

The announcement was made on November 1, 2026, at the church’s headquarters in Ilupeju, days after the cleric sparked speculation about his relationship status with a social media post showing two hands wearing wedding rings.

Odukoya had shared the photograph on Instagram on Saturday with the caption, “To New Beginnings,” prompting followers to speculate about a possible engagement or marriage.

He cleared up the speculation during Sunday’s service when he invited his wife to join him on the church altar and presented her to worshippers as Pastor Mrs Odukoya.

The introduction was accompanied by cheers and applause from members of the congregation.

Before unveiling her, Odukoya asked the church pianist to play an instrumental piece and made a few dance moves, drawing excitement from the congregation.

Explaining his decision to remarry, the pastor said he had spent some time navigating life alone after assuming leadership of the church before eventually finding a suitable partner.

He referred to the biblical account of Adam and Eve, saying he had been searching for someone to share his life with.

“There are what we call Kairos moments. You say Kairos moments, when the Kairos moments. I’m sure some of you saw the post. Somebody, some people say, is it artwork? Is it, is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, no, no, it’s my wife,” he told the congregation.

He subsequently announced:

“Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce to you, for the first time, Pastor Mrs Odukoya. And your first lady, and my wife. Let me be a gentleman. Pastor Mo Odukoya. Please bring out my wife, please.”

Following the introduction, Mo walked onto the stage as worshippers stood to welcome her. Jimmy accompanied her and later asked the congregation whether he had made a good choice, drawing an enthusiastic response.

In her brief address, Pastor Mo expressed happiness at joining the church and standing alongside her husband.

“Good morning, family. It’s my pleasure and honour to be here and stand alongside my husband, the senior pastor of the Fountain of Life Church,” she said.

The service also featured prayers for the couple from Pastor Tunde Bakare, General Overseer of The Citadel Global Community Church, who was invited to bless their union alongside his wife, Olayide.

Bakare disclosed that the couple got married in the United States, although he did not reveal the exact date of the wedding.

He prayed for peace, stability and God’s guidance in their marriage, while also asking for growth and renewed strength for The Fountain of Life Church.

Jimmy Odukoya was previously married to Oluwakemi Banjoko in London in 2013. Their marriage produced two children before the couple separated.

The pastor became the senior leader of The Fountain of Life Church following the death of his father, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, in August 2023.

His introduction of Pastor Mo to the congregation marks a new chapter in his personal life and confirms the marriage he had hinted at through his recent social media post.
