Nigerian streamer and content creator Carter Efe has expressed frustration after revealing that his visa application was denied, saying the experience has left him feeling trapped in Nigeria.
Speaking during a livestream, the skit maker said he was disappointed by the setback and lamented the challenges many Nigerians face when trying to travel abroad.
His remarks come after American content creator and streamer Kai Cenat disclosed that he had tried to assist Carter Efe with the visa application process, but the effort was unsuccessful.
Reacting to the development, Carter Efe said the rejection left him feeling hopeless about his chances of travelling outside the country.
“Chat, I won’t lie to you. We’re trapped in this country. In case you don’t know, we’re trapped. Yes, in case you don’t know, we’re trapped. We no fit go anywhere we want. We can’t go anywhere we want, bro. We’re finished. We’re doomed. I swear to God,” he said.
The specific reason for the visa denial has not been disclosed, and neither Carter Efe nor the relevant embassy has provided further details about the application.
His comments have since generated reactions on social media, with many Nigerians sharing similar experiences with visa applications, while others encouraged him not to give up and to reapply in the future.
