Gunmen Invade Wedding Ceremony in Lafia, Kill Three, Injure Several

A traditional wedding ceremony was thrown into chaos on Tuesday night after suspected gunmen invaded Akunza, a Migili-speaking residential community in Ashige, Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

A youth leader from the area, who confirmed the incident, said at least three people were killed during the attack, while several others sustained injuries.

Women, Children Among the Injured

According to the community source, women and children were among those injured and have been taken to a nearby health facility for medical treatment.

The attack reportedly occurred while wedding festivities were ongoing, triggering panic as guests and residents fled the scene in different directions to save their lives.
