Ghanaian Actress Beverly Afaglo Dies After Two-Year Cancer Battle

Ghanaian actress and entrepreneur Beverly Afaglo has died after battling cancer for two years.

Her manager, Abu Iddris, confirmed the development during an interview on Sunday, revealing that the actress passed away on Saturday night at the International Maritime Hospital in Tema, Ghana.

“She has been battling cancer for two years. It’s been an endless war. She fought hard, and this is how it ended,” Iddris said.

According to him, the illness reportedly began as breast cancer before spreading due to hereditary complications.

Beverly’s husband, musician Choirmaster, formerly known as Praye Ho Ne Ho of the music group Praye, also announced her death on social media on Sunday.

She was 42 years old.

Iddris disclosed that despite her health challenges, Beverly remained committed to both her family and career while undergoing treatment.

“In fact, we photographed stuff for her while she was in therapy. She was under therapy while the premieres and advertising took place,” he said.

He added that the actress had travelled to the United States for treatment and was advised to remain there because of the advanced medical care available.

However, according to him, she chose to return to Ghana to spend time with her children during her final days.

“Aware of the situation, she chose to come with her children. This is the type of individual she is. She opted to visit her children and spend her final days with them,” he stated.
