Content creator and influencer Davrel has revealed what he described as an extraordinary act of kindness from Afrobeats superstar Davido following a period of intense criticism on social media.
According to Davrel, Davido reached out to him after noticing that he was being heavily dragged online and wanted to lift his spirits.
Recounting the experience, the content creator claimed that the singer directed him to visit a luxury car dealership and select any expensive vehicle of his choice.
Davrel alleged that Davido specifically instructed him to head to Sarkin Mota and call him upon arrival.
“Davido saw people dragging me on Twitter and told me to head to Sarkin Mota, pick any expensive car I want. When I reach there, I should call him,” Davrel said.
The revelation quickly generated reactions across social media, with many fans praising Davido’s reputation for generosity and support toward friends, associates and fans.
Some users described the gesture as another example of the singer’s willingness to help people around him, while others questioned whether the story could be linked to promotional activities involving the dealership.
One social media user wrote:
“Person weh no like OBO are also part of the problem Nigeria are facing.”
Another commenter suggested the incident could be a marketing arrangement, claiming Davrel may have acted as a link between the singer and the dealership.
Others focused on the practicality of owning a luxury vehicle, advising that maintenance costs should also be considered before accepting such a gift.
Neither Davido nor Sarkin Mota had publicly commented on Davrel’s claims at the time of reporting.
The story has nevertheless fueled discussions online, with many fans celebrating what they believe is yet another example of Davido’s generosity, a trait that has frequently earned him praise throughout his career.
