President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow following reports that world heavyweight boxing star Anthony Joshua was involved in a fatal road accident on Monday along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in Makun, Ogun State.
The accident reportedly resulted in the death of two individuals, while Joshua sustained minor injuries and is said to be receiving medical care.

Among the deceased was reportedly Latz, identified as Anthony Joshua’s personal trainer, who had arrived in Nigeria less than 24 hours before the incident. His death was confirmed by three-division boxing world champion Badou Jack, who paid tribute via social media.
