The guarantee was given by Samuel Bassey during an interview on Arise Television. He confirmed that election materials and personnel were transported overnight to ensure the polls open on time.

The FCT INEC head emphasised that the measures aim to eliminate delays, ensuring that the elections are conducted free, fair, and credible. He noted that past issues with late commencement had been significantly addressed, if not entirely eliminated, through proactive planning and logistics.
