The clip, shared by a student of the prestigious institution, captured various aspects of daily life within the school and highlighted the luxury facilities available to learners.
In the now-trending video, the student documented his day from morning activities to classroom sessions, giving viewers an inside look at the elite academic environment enjoyed by students at the school.
According to the student, his day began with a visit to the school’s medical centre after he felt unwell before heading to attend his scheduled physics class.
The video later showed him participating in a physics laboratory session alongside classmates, where they conducted practical work and tests on static electricity.
Several parts of the school’s campus were also featured in the clip, including modern classrooms, science laboratories, recreational areas and other state-of-the-art facilities.
The video quickly gained attention online after viewers began discussing the school’s reported tuition fees, which rank among the highest in Nigeria.
According to reports circulating online, tuition for some lower classes can reach approximately ₦23 million annually, while students in senior secondary categories may pay as much as ₦35 million per session.
Additional expenses, including application fees reportedly running into millions of naira and boarding costs, have further fueled conversations about the true cost of attending the institution.
The viral footage has generated mixed reactions from Nigerians.
While many social media users praised the school’s world-class facilities and educational environment, others pointed to the widening gap between elite private schools and public institutions struggling with inadequate infrastructure and learning resources.
Some users described the campus as comparable to international schools abroad, while others questioned whether such fees were realistic for the average Nigerian family.
Charterhouse Lagos officially commenced operations in September 2024 and is part of the globally recognized Charterhouse educational network.
The institution offers both day and boarding programmes for primary and secondary school students and operates a British-style curriculum designed to meet international academic standards.
