Barcelona have reportedly reached an agreement with Arsenal to sign Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus on a permanent transfer.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano announced the development on Sunday, reporting that Barcelona have agreed a package worth more than €10 million, including add-ons, for the 29-year-old striker.
According to Romano, Jesus has already agreed personal terms with the Catalan giants and is set to sign a contract running until June 2028, with an option to extend the agreement for another year.
“Gabriel Jesus and Barcelona, deal until June 2028 plus option and package over €10m to Arsenal.”
Romano added that Jesus immediately accepted Barcelona’s proposal, describing the move as a dream opportunity for the Brazilian.
Arsenal have reportedly authorised the forward to travel to Spain to complete the transfer and undergo the necessary formalities.
The move would bring an end to Jesus’ spell at Arsenal after he joined the north London club from Manchester City in 2022.
Barcelona turned to Jesus as a late-window solution after their efforts to sign Julián Álvarez from Atlético Madrid failed. The Spanish club were reportedly reluctant to sell the Argentina international.
The Catalan club are also seeking additional attacking options following Robert Lewandowski’s departure and Ferran Torres’ move to Paris Saint-Germain in August 2026.
Jesus arrives at Barcelona with considerable Premier League experience, having played under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City before moving to Arsenal.
If completed, the transfer will give Barcelona an experienced forward capable of operating as a central striker while also playing across the frontline.
