Cute Gemini, whose real name is Gift Camille, has announced plans to publicly share her side of the long-running controversy involving Nigerian rapper Lil Frosh, six years after allegations of domestic violence brought their relationship into the spotlight.
The former couple’s relationship became a major subject of public discussion in 2020 after photographs showing Cute Gemini with facial injuries circulated online. She accused Lil Frosh of physically assaulting her, allegations that led to his arrest and a legal case.
Lil Frosh denied the severity of the allegations. At the time, he said he slapped her once after an argument involving his mother. He later disputed claims that her injuries were caused by the alleged assault, saying the swelling was linked to an allergic reaction.
Cute Gemini maintained that the incident involved more than a single slap. In subsequent accounts, she alleged that Lil Frosh assaulted her multiple times and claimed that an iron rod was used to hit the back of her head. She also alleged that she suffered internal bleeding after hitting a wall.
The controversy had major consequences for Lil Frosh’s career. Following the allegations, Davido’s DMW dropped the rapper from its label.
The legal dispute eventually took a different turn in 2022 when Cute Gemini withdrew the case following an out-of-court settlement. She also said she had forgiven Lil Frosh.
The pair were subsequently reported to have reconciled privately. Cute Gemini later indicated that they were together again around late 2022 and into 2023, although Lil Frosh disputed the nature of their relationship.
In 2023, Lil Frosh said he was only seeking Cute Gemini’s help to publicly clear his name and restore his career. He later returned to the controversy publicly in January 2024, maintaining that he had been framed and that the allegations had severely damaged his reputation.
He also released private conversations which he said supported his account of events.
Cute Gemini responded by releasing additional photographs and videos while maintaining that the incident was not simply a case of a single slap.
The controversy has remained unresolved in the court of public opinion, with both sides continuing to present different accounts of what happened in 2020.
Now, on August 29, 2026, Cute Gemini announced that she would finally tell her full story after years of seeing other people speak about her experience.
She indicated that her intention was not to attack or insult anyone, but to personally explain what happened from her perspective.
The announcement has renewed interest in one of the most widely discussed relationship controversies in Nigerian entertainment.
