Beauty entrepreneur Dabota Lawson has responded to allegations that she has an “obvious admiration” for the Olu of Warri, who is married with children.
The controversy comes amid an ongoing social media fallout between Dabota and fellow beauty entrepreneur Adeola Diiadem, who were previously friends.
The two women have exchanged accusations online, with their dispute bringing several personal allegations into the public space.
During the exchange, Diiadem accused Dabota of allegedly being involved with her supposed friend’s sister’s husband.
She also questioned Dabota’s alleged admiration for the Olu of Warri.
“Or should we talk about your obvious admiration for Olori Atuwatse’s husband? Someone you couldn’t stop gushing about? LOL,” Diiadem wrote.
The allegation subsequently attracted reactions from social media users, with some questioning Dabota over her alleged interest in the married monarch.
Dabota responded to one of the comments, defending her right to admire successful and accomplished men without implying any romantic involvement.
“I didn’t know that admiring great men was suddenly a bad thing. As Christians, don’t women pray for their Boaz? And don’t people openly have harmless celebrity crushes?” she wrote.

Her response has since generated further reactions online as the dispute between the two beauty entrepreneurs continues to unfold.
