Former Nollywood actor and Lagos lawmaker Desmond Elliot has reportedly returned to the movie industry following his defeat in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The development comes after photos of Elliot on a movie set alongside fellow actor Ibrahim Chatta surfaced on social media, sparking reactions from fans.
The images showed the former actor turned politician in conversation with Chatta during what appeared to be the filming of a new movie production.
The photos have generated excitement among many social media users, with several expressing anticipation over seeing Elliot back on screen after years of focusing on politics.
Elliot, who represents Surulere Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, recently lost his bid to secure the APC ticket for another term in office.
The three term lawmaker was defeated in the party’s primary election by Barakat Odunuga-Bakare, who secured an overwhelming majority of the votes.
His appearance on a film set has fuelled speculation that he may be making a return to Nollywood while his political future remains uncertain.
