Afrobeats superstar Davido has alleged that Senate President Godswill Akpabio ordered the stoppage of the collation of results from the ongoing Osun State governorship election.
Davido made the allegation in a post on his verified X account on Saturday as results from polling units across the state were being collated.
“Senate President Akpabio has called the Collation Centre that they should stop collation,” Davido wrote.
The allegation comes as the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, continues to upload polling unit results to its Results Viewing Portal, IReV.
Reports earlier indicated that more than 80 per cent of the results had been uploaded to the platform.
Davido, who is a nephew of incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke, has been openly supporting his uncle’s bid for re-election.
Adeleke’s Accord Party has also recorded victories at some polling units as results continue to emerge.
