Social media personality Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has reportedly lost her second son, Bryan, while she remains in custody over ongoing fraud cases.
The development was announced on Friday by Amira Agiye, CEO of the Isaamira Love Foundation, who appealed for financial assistance on behalf of Blessing CEO.
Agiye said Blessing CEO was grieving the death of her son while still unable to leave custody because of the bail conditions attached to her cases.
“It is sad to announce to you all that Blessing CEO just lost her second son.”
Agiye said she was appealing to Nigerians to support Blessing CEO, regardless of their views about the allegations against her or the circumstances surrounding her court cases.
She said the social media personality needed ₦20 million to meet her bail requirements and an additional ₦36 millionto settle money allegedly owed to people who brought the case against her.
Agiye said the appeal was made with Blessing CEO’s consent and authorisation.
In a voice conversation played by Agiye, Blessing CEO confirmed the death of her son and said Bryan had been full of life before his death.
“My second son, Bryan, was full of life. While in custody, I lost Bryan. I pray this turns out positive so I can leave this place, pick up the pieces of my life and pay my respects to him.”
The report of Bryan’s death is currently based on the statements attributed to Blessing CEO and Amira Agiye. The circumstances surrounding the child’s death have not been independently established in the reports reviewed.
Blessing CEO has been in custody in connection with separate criminal proceedings brought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
In one case before the Lagos State Special Offences Court in Ikeja, she is facing a two-count charge involving an alleged ₦69.15 million property fraud. She pleaded not guilty to the charges. The EFCC alleges that she obtained the money from Hope Chiropractic Health Clinic Limited in March 2025 after allegedly representing that she owned a property in Lekki which she could lease to the company.
On July 23, 2026, Justice Rahman Oshodi granted Blessing CEO ₦20 million bail, with two sureties in like sum. Each surety was required to provide a three-year bank statement or evidence of fixed deposits worth at least ₦20 million. The court also imposed travel restrictions and ordered screening of the defendant and her sureties through the Lagos State Judiciary’s Bail Information Management System.
She also faces a separate EFCC case involving an alleged ₦36 million fraud, in which she was previously granted bail.
A further case before the Federal High Court in Lagos involves allegations of obtaining money by false pretence, forgery, possession of false documents, fraudulent conversion and retention of proceeds of unlawful activities involving about ₦13 million. Blessing CEO pleaded not guilty to the charges, and the court ordered that she remain in custody pending trial.
The various cases remain before the courts, and the allegations against Blessing CEO have not been established by a final conviction.
Agiye appealed to Nigerians to assist with the bail and financial obligations, while also urging people to show compassion to Blessing CEO following the reported death of her son.
The latest development has added a personal dimension to the legal proceedings, with Blessing CEO saying she hopes to secure her release so she can return home and pay her respects to Bryan.
