Founder of Remnant Christian Network (RCN), Apostle Arome Osayi, has said he will no longer publicly discuss his alleged spiritual encounters after facing criticism over claims that he sees Jesus Christ, angels and other supernatural manifestations.
The cleric made the announcement in a video circulating on social media, explaining that some people had accused him of using his testimonies to promote his spirituality.
Osayi, however, maintained that his experiences were genuine, insisting that his decision to stop discussing them publicly did not mean they would stop occurring.
“I’ve decided that I will no longer be discussing my encounters online because people believe that I’m advertising my spirituality, that he’s saying that he sees angels. I see them almost every day. You cannot use the Bible to contradict that kind of encounter,” he said.
Defending his claims, the preacher argued that biblical figures who maintained close relationships with God also encountered angels.
“People that were right with God in the Bible, they saw angels. I see them. It’s part of my calling,” he added.
Osayi further insisted that he would continue having the experiences even if he chose not to share them with the public.
“There’s no way you’d think that I would say, okay, I don’t see them again. No. I have seen some things in heaven,” he said.
He also referred to revelations he claimed were yet to come to pass, suggesting that future developments would demonstrate the accuracy of some of his statements.
“I will tell you some that have not yet come to pass, so that when it happens, you will know that I told you,” the cleric stated.
In the same video, Osayi predicted that some people would be displaced in the coming days, attributing the alleged development to their failure to consecrate themselves to God.
“You are going to see in the days to come, people that will be displaced. The reason for the displacement is because of a refusal to consecrate themselves to God,” he said.
The latest comments come amid public debate over the preacher’s accounts of supernatural encounters, which have drawn criticism from social media users, entertainers and fellow Christian ministers.
One account that attracted particular attention involved Osayi’s description of an alleged encounter with Jesus during a visit to a beach in Tanzania.
According to his testimony, he asked Jesus for the power to raise the dead and reverse autism. He claimed that he was instructed to send ₦5 million to a pastor in exchange for the powers.
Osayi also recounted an alleged subsequent church ministration during which he said an angel touched him on the head, after which five people who had been unable to walk stood up and walked.
The account resurfaced on social media in September 2026, prompting questions about the claims and the circumstances surrounding the alleged financial instruction. The supernatural elements of the testimony have not been independently verified.
The controversy intensified on October 4, when Nigerian singer Skales criticised the preacher’s claims in a post on X.
“Something has to be done to regulate this folks… they are making the gospel look like a joke… people actually believe this lies?” the singer wrote.
Pastor Abel Damina also questioned the biblical basis of some of Osayi’s testimonies during a church service on October 8, after receiving messages from people asking him to address the circulating videos.
Veteran Nollywood actor Kanayo O. Kanayo subsequently joined the debate, questioning Osayi’s claims about visiting heaven in a video shared on Instagram on October 19.

Despite the criticism, Osayi has continued to defend his experiences, maintaining that they are part of his spiritual calling. His latest announcement signals a decision to keep future accounts of those experiences off social media, rather than a retraction of the claims themselves.
