A Lagos State Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja has granted social media personality Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, bail in the sum of ₦20 million in her ongoing trial over an alleged ₦69.15 million fraud.
Justice Rahman Oshodi approved the bail application on Thursday after considering submissions from the defence, noting that the court was required to independently evaluate the allegations and the punishment prescribed by law before reaching its decision.
Blessing CEO was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on June 9, 2026, on a two-count charge of alleged stealing and obtaining money by false pretences.
According to the EFCC, the defendant allegedly obtained ₦69,150,000 from Hope Chiropractic Health Clinic Limitedin March 2025 after claiming she would secure the lease of a property in the Lekki area of Lagos.
The anti-graft agency alleged that the representation was false and that the money was obtained fraudulently. Blessing CEO has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
During the hearing of her bail application, the court sought clarification on the whereabouts of her international passport. In response, her lawyer informed the court that the passport had been lost and presented an affidavit of loss, along with public notices published to that effect.
In his ruling, Justice Oshodi admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of ₦20 million, with two responsible sureties in like sum.
The court directed that each surety must provide either a three-year bank statement or proof of a fixed deposit of at least ₦20 million.
The judge also ordered that Blessing CEO and her sureties be profiled through the Lagos State Judiciary’s Bail Information Management System.
In addition, the court directed the Nigerian Immigration Service to enforce travel restrictions against the defendant pending the conclusion of the case.
The matter was adjourned until October 12, 2026, for the continuation of trial.
