Eberechi Eze produced a moment of brilliance against his former side, firing a spectacular half-volley as Arsenal claimed a hard-fought victory over Crystal Palace in a tense London derby at the Emirates Stadium.
The midfielder’s strike in the 39th minute proved to be the difference, keeping Mikel Arteta’s team firmly on course in their Premier League title race.
Despite Arsenal’s dominance in possession, Crystal Palace remained compact and disciplined throughout the match, frustrating the Gunners with well-organised defending.
Arteta’s men continued to push for a second goal after the break, but Palace’s resilience ensured the game stayed on edge until the final whistle.
Eze’s spectacular goal — a beautifully controlled half-volley that left the Arsenal keeper rooted — was a reminder of his quality and confidence, even in defeat for his side.
